Founding Members

The following organizations provided the funding required to launch Open Source - Open Libraries.

Each of these organizations recognized the importance of exploring the open source ILS options (Koha and Evergreen).  When the idea of creating this Consortium was first raised, only two libraries in California were using an open source library system (OSLS) and that was Salinas Public (Koha) and William Jessup University (Evergreen).

After only a few months of raising awareness of OSLS opportunities via workshops and webinars, many California libraries are now considering this option very seriously.
