Letter from Josh Ferraro to Liblime customers:
Hi everyone,
I have some big news that I want to share with all of you before it
hits the press.
LibLime's owners have entered into an agreement with PTFS, Inc. to
purchase LibLime. The transaction is scheduled to be completed by the
end of January.
As many of you may be aware, PTFS has been supporting ILSes in
libraries for over a decade. They began supporting Koha solutions in
2008 and have built up over 18 months experience in Koha development
and support during that time. This experience, coupled with their
already impressive customer service record, uniquely positions them to
effectively merge and expand LibLime's operations with their own.
PTFS plans to continue using the LibLime brand and staff, which will
be combined with PTFS's open source team.
As I've worked with them during this process, I continue to be
impressed with PTFS's resources, capability and their vision for Koha
and I'm looking forward to working with the new members of our
combined team. I'm also confident that PTFS's experience and customer
service record will work to expand support for all of LibLime's
customers.
For those of you still in implementation or in the midst of open
projects, we'll be working hard to facilitate a smooth transition.
I've attached a press release that will be sent out later today
announcing this transaction. You can find out more about PTFS, Inc. at
their website: http://ptfs.com
For those of you attending ALA Midwinter, there is a press conference
scheduled for 11:30AM on Saturday january 16th in the LibLime booth
(2538) and you're welcome to attend to learn more about PTFS, their
interest in LibLime as well as their vision for library services.
Sincerely,
Josh
